Making elderberry syrup at home just got a whole lot easier. We’ve done the measuring and mixing for you - just steep, sweeten, and enjoy.
Each DIY Elderberry Syrup Kit comes with a pre-filled mesh tea bag containing all the herbs and elderberries you need to make a batch of homemade elderberry syrup. Simply simmer the tea bag in water, remove it, and add your favorite sweetener. No measuring, no mixing, and no fuss. It’s as easy as brewing a cup of tea.
Choose the kit that works best for you:
- DIY Kit: Just the pre-filled tea bag. Add your own sweetener at home.
- Honey Kit: Includes 8 oz. of raw wildflower honey, harvested by Brighton Wool & Honey Co. from hives right here at Elderberry Marsh Farm.
- Maple Kit: Includes 250 ml of Geauga County, Ohio maple syrup in a charming decorative glass log cabin bottle.

How long will the kit keep?
If stored sealed in a cool, dark cupboard, our kit will last about a year from the date of purchase.
How do I store the syrup after I make it?
Refrigerate any syrup you have made. It will last up to 2 months if refrigerated. You can also freeze the syrup. Freezing syrup in ice cube trays makes it easy to add elderberry to your morning smoothies.
How much syrup much will the kit make?
Each elderberry syrup kit makes approximately 32 ounces.
How much elderberry syrup do I take?
We suggest a teaspoon for children and a tablespoon for adults. As with any item taken for health, please talk with your healthcare professional before taking.
Is elderberry syrup safe for children?
If using honey when making the syrup, it should not be given to children under 1 year.
Is everything I need to make the syrup included in the kit?
Ingredients: Organic Dried Elderberries, Organic Cinnamon Sticks, Cloves, Organic Ground Ginger
Elderberry syrup is not recommended for women who are pregnant.
Consuming raw, uncooked elderberries can cause nausea.
